3-YEAR CYCLE STEPS
Step 3: Analyze Data
Once the ALEE Center receives the assessment data collected from rubrics (Step 2), assessment specialists merge the data with institutional data, conduct statistical analyses, and write a customized report of the assessment results.
Several analyses included in all assessment reports (see below), but ALEEC assessment specialists are also open to answering other specific research questions that are of interest to programs.
ALEEC’s goal is to help programs and instructors make sense of their assessment data and create data-based and actionable steps to improve future courses and curricula.
Analyses included in a typical ALEEC Assessment Report:

Overall Proficiencies

Comparison to Past Assessment Studies

Equity Analyses
To what extent are all students, as a group, meeting the expected standard of achievement in each PLO?
Are students stronger in some PLOs compared to others?
How are students doing compared to the last time each PLO was assessed?
To what extent are specific student subgroups meeting the expected standard of achievement in each PLO?
For example, are first-generation students, students of color, and/or bilingual students meeting the PLO at similar rates as their peers?
ALEEC also offers reports in different forms:
